He is a registered patent attorney with over 30 years of professional experience in Australia and the United States.
In addition to his service to Davies Collison Cave over four decades, he has worked in Silicon Valley preparing and prosecuting patent applications for leading electronics and software companies and has himself been an entrepreneur, establishing and operating a start-up company in the packaging industry.
Chris enjoys working with local and international clients to identify and implement protection and enforcement strategies that are aligned with their commercial objectives. He advises on all aspects of intellectual property, including patentability, infringement and validity, and freedom to operate. He has particular interest in sustainable energy projects, and has exercised his engineering skills in that field also.
