2016 Hunter Manufacturing Awards Launch

John Heywood once said, “it takes many hands to make light work”, and this couldn’t be more true for the several thousand small, medium and large manufactures in the Hunter region of New South Wales (NSW).

Today marks the launch of the prestigious Hunter Manufacturing Awards (HMA), taking place onsite at Downer Rail. The awards commemorate those who follow best practices in manufacturing, honouring business achievements through key regional organisations, and inspiring others who would like to join them.

Highlighting the importance of manufacturing in the Hunter region, the awards symbolise the significant history and role that manufacturing plays in the future.

Our patent and trade mark attorneys advise and assist some of the most innovative minds and companies in the greater Hunter region. When the opportunity came up to sponsor the HMA ‘Excellence in Innovation Award 2016’, we welcomed the chance to nurture and encourage the region’s achievements.

The official awards ceremony will be held on Friday 21st October 2016 at the Newcastle Exhibition and Conference Centre (NEX), formerly Wests City, formerly Newcastle Panthers, King Street, Newcastle. Nominations open today, with all information available on the website.

About HMA

HMA is a non profit organisation with the objective of promoting manufacturing excellence. HMA is not aligned with any regional organisation, but shares the belief of many that manufacturing is critical to the future of the Hunter region.

Through the sponsorship of like-minded businesses and regional bodies, HMA actively promotes manufacturing excellence through and awards night, held annually. It is envisaged, that as HMA grows, the awards night will be a catalyst for continued promotional activities that will see the organisation’s vision of a diverse and capable manufacturing base in the Hunter realised.
