RACI Organic Chemistry Division Mander Best PhD Thesis Award winner announced
Davies Collison Cave congratulates Dr Christopher Newton, recipient of the inaugural Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) Organic Chemistry Division Mander Best PhD Thesis Award.
The RACI Organic Chemistry Division awards the prize annually to an RACI member who is judged to have submitted the most outstanding PhD thesis in organic chemistry at an Australian University in the preceding two years. Christopher’s doctoral research, completed under the supervision of Professor Michael Sherburn at the Australian National University, focused on diene transmissive Diels-Alder reactions of radialenes and dendralenes and their application to the total synthesis of natural products.
Davies Collison Cave is excited to support this new award recognising excellence in organic chemistry.
