Maryam Khajeh elected youngest Deputy President of Engineers Australia’s Sydney Division

On 1 February 2010, Maryam Khajeh, a Patent Attorney in the Davies Collison Cave Sydney Office, was voted in as Deputy President of Engineers Australia, Sydney Division. Maryam is the youngest Deputy President in the history of the Sydney Division and only the 3rd woman elected to the position. The Engineers Australia Sydney Division represents around 19,100 Engineers based in Sydney and greater NSW, and also includes around 6,900 young engineers.

As the Deputy President, Maryam will have a range of specific responsibilities and will also step in to assist the President of Engineers Australia Sydney Division, Mr Ian Ackland.

Davies Collison Cave has been involved with Engineers Australia for over 10 years and has been a committed sponsor of the Excellence Awards. Maryam Khajeh and Simon Reynolds, another Patent Attorney with Davies Collison Cave, have both held the position of Chair of Young Engineers Sydney. Andrew Caska, a Trainee Attorney with Davies Collison Cave, is the PR representative on the Young Engineers Committee.
