DCC to present at seminars in Western Sydney
DCC will present at the “Protect & Grow” business event series across three Western Sydney locations from September.
Designed to assist SMEs, entrepreneurs and other businesses that are looking to grow, including businesses engaging in R&D activities, these half day seminars will include valuable tips for recognising and maximising the value of your intellectual property (IP), and practical insights on how to protect and grow your business.
“There are many businesses that would find value in this seminar program,” said Damon Henshaw, lead Partner in DCC’s Parramatta office, “In terms of IP, where some businesses fall down is not so much a lack of ideas, but a lack of awareness around how to protect those ideas and utilise their full potential for the business.”
The DCC session will be a pragmatic look at what you can and can’t protect, how and when to protect it, and how IP rights can be used strategically as a business asset to gain a competitive advantage in the market. Damon and Will Hird will present at alternate seminars, and will be joined by trade mark specialist and Partner, Marion Heathcote, and Roseanne Mannion to address any trade mark issues.
Dr Jim Taggart will facilitate the seminars, and other speakers include KPMG on how to recoup R&D expenditure through tax incentives and access various government funding initiatives, and Telstra will look at how companies can leverage working with cloud-based technologies.
Go to Protect & Grow for tickets: $77 (incl GST) includes morning tea, lunch, a Business Growth App, and a comprehensive seminar workbook.
