Engineers Australia Sydney Division Awards
Davies Collison Cave is proud to continue to be a major sponsor of the Engineers Australia Sydney Division Excellence awards, which were held on 18 September.
Each year, the Innovations and Inventions Award attracts an impressive array of entries and 2014 was no exception.
Our congratulations to the finalists: Danpal Australia. Betconframe International, Rip Buoy Holdings and the category winner, CSIRO.
Tasmanian Engineering Excellence Awards dinner
Also in September, the Tasmanian Division held its first Excellence Awards in three years.
A record number of projects entered the Awards this year, with Ross Clark participating as a judge.
Small Business Festival
For the first time, Davies Collison Cave was involved in the Small Business Festival across regional Victoria.
Elizabeth Godfrey, Cheryl Hrvoj and Peter Gretton ran sessions at various locations, providing guidance to small to medium sized businesses on the protection and use of their trade mark online.
It was an impressive festival and we look forward to being part of it again in 2015.

UOW Pitch judges impressed by entries
Chris Carter and Gavin Recchia from our Sydney office were members of the staff and student judging panels this year for the University of Wollongong’s annual technology commercialisation Pitch Event.
The entries were excellent and the University was very excited to have received so many quality projects and ideas. It hopes to assist these applicants in the protection of these ideas and in their development and commercial translation.
