Siew Ling has substantial working experience in the prosecution of trade marks, having managed large client portfolios over the years. Her clients include that from the food & beverage industry, consumer goods industry and more.

Siew Ling is adept in resolving conflict and opposition related issues. She provides consultation on infringement related actions, litigation review and strategy support (where matters end up going to court), as well as mediation and negotiation between parties (where matters are to be resolved amicably within the parties).

She coordinates invalidation and infringement related actions initiated for and against the firm’s clients, both in Malaysia and other worldwide territories. She is active in enforcement action activities, and assists clients in coordinating enforcement raids on targeted infringers, and in strategizing the approach to deal with such infringers.

Apart from conflict related matters, Siew Ling is proficient in drafting and reviewing of agreements (licensing, collaboration, manufacturing & distribution and the like), franchising, domain name issues and other related areas.

Siew Ling is fluent in three Chinese dialects (Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien), and therefore also heads DCC Advanz’s division that manages clients from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and local Chinese-speaking clients.
