Tom is a Senior Associate in Davies Collison Cave Law's Brisbane Office.

Tom practices across all areas of intellectual property law, with specific expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements for the commercialization of intellectual property rights. He regularly advises clients on general commercial transactions, contentious and non-contentious IP matters, and has experience in corporate and information technology law, including data and privacy issues. Tom has assisted clients of all sizes – from large multinationals to local start-ups – navigate complex legal issues to achieve their commercial objectives.

Tom holds a master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in law from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on the licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights, primarily in the context of Free and Open-Source Software. He maintains an interest in a broad range of issues concerning the relationship between law, society and technology.
