Yunan joined DCC in 2025 and is part of the Biotechnology team, where she is involved in the drafting, preparation and prosecution of patent applications. She has expertise in molecular, cell and developmental biology, embryology and assisted reproductive technologies.

Prior to joining DCC, Yunan was a post-doctoral research fellow at the UQ Centre for Clinical Research, where her work focused on imaging early embryonic divisions and their translational potential in assisted reproductive technologies. Yunan is also a native Mandarin speaker and has experience as a medical translation specialist for companies including Leica Biosystems.

Yunan holds a PhD and Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Class I Honours) from the University of Queensland. Her academic and communication skills are recognised through winning the prestigious Three-Minute Thesis competition.
