Nanotechnology is the term applied to the manipulation of materials and the fabrication of objects on a length scale of about 1-100 nanometers, giving rise to unique or enhanced properties. Nanotechnology is now integral part of our everyday lives, and awareness of technical challenges specific to Nanotechnology is therefore essential to maximise patent protection for inventions in this field.

Why DCC

Our Expertise

Nanomaterials

Metal/semiconductor/polymeric nanoparticles, carbon dots, molecular and nanoparticulate self-assembling systems, nanotubes, organic electro-optic materials, graphene, and corresponding composites.

Synthesis of nanomaterials

Top-down (e.g. optical, E-beam, soft, nanoimprint, scanning probe lithography) and bottom-up (e.g. solution synthesis, atomic layer deposition, sol-gel, molecular self–assembly, vapor deposition).

Characterization of nanomaterials

Morphological and physico-chemical, including XRD and SAXS, electron microscopy (TEM and SEM), EDX, XPS, FTIR, Raman, NMR, BET, TGA, UV-vis, PL spectroscopy, FMR, AFM.

Our Expertise

We have extensive experience in IP law and also understand the complex challenges involved in commercialising Nanotechnology. Besides our attorneys, our expert trade mark and commercial lawyers will identify and protect your distinctive branding, as well as structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements and contracts.

This will ensure maximum protection of multiple potential applications of your Nanotechnology inventions. Strategic use of IP has helped our Nanotechnology clients to grow and prosper.

In short, the depth of our technical expertise enables us to build multidisciplinary teams of attorneys and lawyers to handle technically and legally complex IP matters in relation to all areas of Nanotechnology.
