In 2025, Jennifer joined the trade mark team at Davies Collison Cave coming from a mid-tier Australian IP firm where she spent 8 years, including 6 years as leader of the trade mark group. Jennifer began her working life as a research scientist at Murdoch University, Western Australia and subsequently entered the patent attorney profession in 1987 practising in the registration of patents, designs and trade marks in Australia and overseas. After completing a Bachelor of Laws in 1994, Jennifer gained extensive commercial and litigious intellectual property experience working in some of Australia’s top tier law firms before co-establishing her own boutique IP law and attorney firms.
Over the years, Jennifer has advised numerous Australian and overseas entities from a broad range of industries including engineering, chemical, food and beverage, publishing, dairy, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, health, beauty, education and agriculture. Jennifer thoroughly enjoys working in the high pressure, fast moving field of trade mark law and takes great pleasure in safeguarding trade marks as valuable assets for her clients. Jennifer particularly enjoys working with start-ups and growing businesses as this provides an opportunity for her to assist in establishing or fine tuning a trade mark strategy for these organisations at key stages of development.
Jennifer is the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) and the Honorary Treasurer of the Australian branch of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).
